Child Passenger Safety: As a provider (childcare, medical, home visitor, etc.), you are uniquely positioned to educate families about the importance of proper child restraint systems and connect them with certified car seat technicians. First 5 Yuba County offers essential training that equips you with knowledge about car seat safety guidelines, common misuse patterns, and the referral process to local certified technicians. Our program provides tailored education for transporters who regularly move children, first responders, CASA volunteers, and other professionals who interact with families. By understanding when and how to refer families to proper resources, you become a vital link in protecting our community's children. We can also bring our engaging car seat safety presentations directly to your families, helping them buckle up knowledge while keeping their little ones secure!

Healthy & Resilient Families: As a provider (childcare, medical, home visitor, etc.), you play a vital role in improving health outcomes for children and families in our rural county by reducing exposure to 2nd and 3rd hand smoke. First 5 Yuba County has practical tools and systems in place to support family-serving agencies in accurately implementing or refining a best-practice, high-quality approach to tobacco screening, referral, education and cessation supports for staff and families. We're also available to bring interactive workshops directly to your families, helping them understand the impacts of smoke exposure and connecting them with local resources to support their quit journey!
